Thank you
I am very humbled to have been elected back onto the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board with Backing the Bays Julia Parfitt and newbie Gregg Walden. We are looking forward to hitting the ground running and delivering on our big action plan for the Bays. We're also looking forward to a really productive 2022-2025 term with a new Hibiscus and Bays Local Board.
It is very bittersweet of course, as our friend and hard-working teammate Frank Sun has missed out. Frank is involved in numerous community organisations and is such an asset to our area. It will be a shame not to have his skills and experience at the Local Board table this time around.
Thank you to the numerous people who supported #BackingTheBays by delivering flyers and having signs on fences. Thank you for entrusting your vote with us and supporting our vision and action plan we want to deliver - we will not let you down.
Inauguration - Chairing the Board from April 2024
At the end of October we had our inauguration. This is where we were sworn in as elected members and have our first business meeting which decides the leadership of the Board. I'm very humbled to be taking up the Chair position for the second half of the 3 year Council term.
The first half of the term will be Chaired by Gary Brown with Julia Parfitt as Deputy. The second half will be chaired by myself with Gary as Deputy. We have a great mix of new and returning members on the Local Board and I'm really looking forward to us all working together.
Now that is over, it's time for us all to start hitting the ground running in developing our Local Board Plan that will set out our strategic direction for the term.
